VA Claim Calculator 2026
Calculate your VA disability compensation and TDIU benefits with our comprehensive calculator. Get an estimate using 2026 rates (2.8% COLA, effective December 1, 2025).
Calculate Your Benefits
1 Add Your Disability Ratings
Important: Select the specific body part for bilateral disabilities (both arms or both legs). This can increase your combined rating through the bilateral factor.
2 Dependent Information
Include only dependents VA has approved or who meet VA’s eligibility rules. School attendance generally must be full time; a dependent parent must meet VA’s financial criteria.
3 Employment Status (for TDIU)
This answer does not change the monthly estimate. TDIU requires a separate VA decision.
Understanding VA Math
The VA doesn't simply add percentages together. Instead, they use a "whole person" theory where each additional disability affects the remaining "healthy" percentage.
50% + 30% + 20% = 72% → Rounded to 70% (not 100%)
TDIU Requirements (2026)
Veteran-alone base rate. Your potential amount with selected dependents appears above if a schedular threshold is met. You must apply and VA decides eligibility.
2026 Rate Changes
Effective December 1, 2025. The calculator uses VA’s published rate table.
